Experience one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world with a weekend camping trip to Death Valley National Park. This trip will take you through the park’s most iconic locations — from the vast salt flats of Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America, to the technicolor canyons of Artist’s Palette and the dramatic Ubehebe Crater.

Adventures include an optional sunrise hike at Dante’s View, where sweeping panoramas reveal the vastness of the Park. We’ll spend the day exploring the park’s extreme landscapes through scenic drives and short hikes, uncovering its stunning contrasts and rugged beauty. As night falls, we’ll experience some of the darkest skies in the country with a moonlit walk across Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes — a surreal way to take in the desert’s quiet magic.

REI will be providing all the gear for the weekend, so all you need to bring is your food! Our full basecamp setup includes tents, sleeping bags, and sleeping pads, ensuring a comfortable stay as we journey through this otherworldly desert.
