Eastern Sierra Camping Trip

Join Usal and Forgotten Lands Project for a weekend of camping in California’s Eastern Sierra, where autumn paints the aspens gold and mountain air carries the first hints of winter. This is the season when the high country feels most alive — crisp mornings, glowing canyon walls, and lakes reflecting fire-bright foliage.

Our basecamp will sit at the foot of the Sierra Nevada, giving us easy access to hiking trails, natural hot springs, and sweeping vistas. Along the way, we’ll also visit a remarkable geothermal site where steaming vents and mineral-rich waters reveal the volcanic forces that shaped this landscape. Days will be spent hiking to alpine lakes, soaking in mineral springs, and exploring the vivid spectrum of fall colors that make this region one of the most spectacular places in the West. Evenings will bring us back to camp for shared meals and a campfire under the stars.
