Eastern Sierra Fall Camp Trip

UPDATE: SOLD OUT

Join me for a weekend of camping in California’s Eastern Sierra, where golden aspens and steaming hot springs welcome the first hints of winter. Although California may be better known for its coastline and deserts, the Eastern Sierra offers some of the most spectacular fall colors in America. Each autumn, its aspen groves turn brilliant shades of gold, orange, and red against the granite peaks of the Sierra Nevada.

From our basecamp at the foot of the mountains, we will hike to alpine lakes, soak in natural hot springs, and take in sweeping views of the season’s vivid colors. We will also visit a remarkable geothermal site where steaming vents and mineral-rich waters reveal the volcanic forces that shaped the region. In the evenings, we will return to camp to eat together and gather around the fire beneath the stars.

REI will provide the primary camping gear, including shared tents, sleeping bags, sleeping pads, and camp chairs, to help ensure a comfortable stay. Participants will be responsible for bringing their own food. Before the trip, the guide will email driving directions, a packing list, and other essential information.
